you misunderstood ... I was only going to keep it cold until it cycles, however in the meantime I have put on the heater and kick started the cycling. No way will discus thrive in low temperatures!

Thanks for your input. I have decided to take some of my established tanks media and add it to the new tank. On top of this I have bought and added live bacteria in order to help to kick start the system. I have also switched on the heater to speed up the cycling progress. Hi I sent you a pm with the name of the filter. The turnover is 1000l per hour. After what I am experiencing I agree with you on the guarantee. Filter has been cleaned thouroughly. No probs when there is no media in it. Once I fill it up it goes slow after about an hour. Today I even cleaned the pump itself.

Hi Edmund, the flow problems started before I got the reactor. Today I cleaned the filter and the inlet nozzle started to leak.
