• Re: New fishroom

Hi Ganni Well as regards my future fish room, i do not know how many hours of sunlight it will get. I know for sure that it will get the morning sun, but for how many hours i do not know, since i do not live in the place yet. But i could always put a blind or dark curtains across. To tell you the truth i have not thought about the algea ...

I know you can also keep them with discus but i have never really wanted to buy any. I know that today there are so many varieties of the fish, with also some really small ones in size. Well maybe)i will wait till Martin ...

  • Re: Any Suggestions......

Hi Martin Well a lot of my tetras have dissapeared, and the other time i saw a dead tetra floating, it was night time and i could see it had been just killed. Discus fish are not so innocent as fish and if they have the chance they will take the opportunity and hunt fish. From a shoal of cardinals i only have two left. And all my ...
  • Re: 200 LTR planted Discus Tank

Well glad you took the step and put three more discus in your new tank. I like to take a long time when transferring discus from one tank to the other. At least one hour of mixing water from one tank with the other. ( i take a bit more time if i have bought a new discus) Even though i have practically the same water for my discus ...

  • Re: Breeding Pearl/Moonlight gouramies

Hi Martin When i bred the golden gouramies I literally had hundreds of young fry but my tank was without any plants in them so they could be seen. They are slow growing at first but then they start growing at a fast rate. I think Gouramies live for quite a few years> I remember i had given some to a friend and he had them for over 5 ...
