Well i have finally taken the plunge and have changed the tubes of my tank. I had 6 to change, and since around half of the old ones the t8 had gone i thought now would be the ideal time to change them. The difference in light is really great and now the tank is so well lighted. The fish seem to be adapting to it and are getting used ...

Hi i have been to lapsi, but i must admit i never saw that so called waterfall. However i am sure it is not natural, it probably is coming from the reverse osmosis plant which there is over there. But i must admit it makes a beautiful sight. Frank

Hi Tim Thaks for the advice. Well in my case it is just plenty of natural light that is coming in through a big window and glass door. The tank itself has no other light at all . The reason being that it is a bare tank and i am using it as a breeding tank. I cannot shut the window as it is a source of light for all the house itself. ...

hi Charles Thanks for the photo. The brine shrimps look like soup. I am hatching mine in a glass bottle. The thing is that with the areation the eggs go to the top of the bottle and many do not hatch.. I remember once at the club Jason had done something like the jar you have, but unfortunately i broke them. Is there any ...

  • Re: coldwater fish

Hi all i was wondering if these heat can survive the summer heat more than the winter cold. I had a few females and put them outside in a small tank, and the next day or so found them all dead. So maybe it is not the cold which they cannot take, but the summer heat. Frank

HI thanks for the info, will see what is on the market. I need it because i have two breeding pairs of discus and the water is getting so green that it looks dirty. However apparantly besides getting rid of the green stuff it also serves another purpose, as i know people who keep discus and have one, even though the water does ...

  • Re: Breeding Pearl/Moonlight gouramies

hi Marin Well you can always try again, but maybe this time be better prepared. Maybe you can put the pair in a tank by themselves and once they breed just remove the female and eventually the male as well. That way you will be sure the fry are safe and do not need to be moved around Frank
