120l aquarium complete with 2 t5 and cabinet
5 extra t5s with separate ballast (155w in all)

I have 5 fish in it and  I think that is all as it is very difficult to keep nitrate and nitrite and amonia low. so I better keep it like that

Hi matt very nice tank indeed! I like marine setups very much but from what I read on magazines and other forums it's a bit more difficult then fresh water setups.

Whats the difference between soft and hard corals? If you want you can use examples from your tank....

Your tank is very beautiful & what a difference in 8 months. Surprise Well done & hope to see more interesting pictures (close ups) of those corals.

Please treat Corydoras as community inhabitants & not as scavengers. Stick out tongue

Nice shots of a very nice tank , keep it up buddy.  When buying corals , you 'just' put them in the tank and they grow and flourish or is there any other thing one must do.  Can you tell us more please about your setup etc , thanks

    Re: My 30g Reef Setup

So in my case and I restate in my case I just buy them and put them in the water and they live. The most difficult part for me is placing them as they keep falling off the first week or so. But after that it is only discipline .I do a water change every Saturday of 10% I use a very good salt and that is it basically. as regards the tank it is very good and handy ,it is only 120lt with a small internal filter of 1000lt/h a hang on protein skimmer,a couple of wave makers  and about  175w of t5s.Apart from that I have no magic wands or miracle boxes ,All I have is some basic day steps to follow and weekly steps too and that is it .And btw the hole setup is only 200w  excluding the chiller

Impressively nice. Does the chiller consume a lot? I really like nemo fishBig Smile

    Re: My 30g Reef Setup

well it is a small one so it is only 200w .and it is not on every time .I summer it is on 20minutes from every 60minutes and that is when the light are on at night it is even less
