Arowanas are under the Scleropages group of fishes...also known as the bony tongue...They are mouth brooders. The mating process is an interesting sight! The pair sticks together, with the female dropping her eggs and male emmitting his sperm in a cloud simultaneously. The Male then scoops up the eggs in his mouth to incubate them, only during feeding does he allow the fries out to feed. If I manage to find any farm pictures, I will post them here on the Harvest experience.

How long doeas it take for the eggs to hatch? and I assume that the fry are free swimming when he lets them out during feeding time.... quite a view.

Usually harvesting would have to wait from 2-3 weeks....by then the egg sac should still be hanging out from the fry...:)
