Yes it was very interesting , it would be nice to have a tank with oddballs but at the moment that is not an option Tongue Tied

Yes thanks to Bertrand and Nigel for the interesting talk. I like livebearers mostly those that aren't so common. I like oddballs too but many of them need big aquaria and that's not an option for me. It would be nice  to have a sandy bottom and a pair of Bichirs. Once I had a stone fish too and it ate all its tankmates including a spiny eel.

Regards the table show, Charlon and Charlie Mallia brought some nice specimens and I can say that killies are becoming more popular. Advantages being space needed and breeding activity, not mentioning the nice colours they have.

Looking forward for next meeting. We'll keep you informed.

    Re: Club meeting

It is more important to tell our club member friends that are not attending these monthly meetings what they are missing. Let us get them and new members to our Society and share with us these interesting talks and table shows. Very nice clip Ted. It is good to have these regularly as I did not have ample time to go and see those lovely specimens of Killifish as Gianni said. Yes thanks goes to Bert and Nigel for a very well prepared talk. Keep it up guys.

    Re: Club meeting

I will do it on every meeting then we could perhaps build a video library or something it would be good even for those who couldnt come to the meeting due to work or other reasons. Even our Gozitan friends who obvsiouly can't come to each meeting can benefit from this I guess.

    Hi Teddy,

It's a nice thing you're doing .. taking pics and video clips of the meetings and table show. Keep up the good work.

It's interesting when one has some spare time and sees the previous meetings' clips and photos.

    Re: Club meeting

Thanks Charlon , I would suggest opening a new thread for each meeting say 'May Meeting 2009' it could include a brief write up about the talk , table show winners , table show videos and/or photos and other things sort of a virtual meeting I don't know if it can be done , I let the committee members think about it Wink .  I'm sure that members who miss the meeting would appreciate it.

    Re: Club meeting

Very good idea & it would be quite interesting to those that couldn't attend to the meeting, but may I remind you, that all the items mentioned, are all covered & published in the Ilma Car & this is distributed free every month to all the paid members. Geeked

    Re: Club meeting

as regards the Ilma Car, I personally expected to have more response from the members as hoe they wish to continue receiving the magazine. Hope we will have a more positive response on this issue. As regards the video clip of each meeting and particularly the table shows I totally agree as we will keep a record of what is being done. Also we will have a nice memoranda of the fish we use to bench in our table shows some 15 or 20 years from now .......I will be 68 years old lo llo llol...... Any ways, keep up the good work Ted, we really appreciate it alot.

    Re: Club meeting

As Charlie told you you can compete with Xiphophorus variatus (the ones you have) and maculatus ( found as the normal platy). Make sure that they're a pair. Goodluck, hope we'll have some nice Platies.
