If you want successful breeding & a high fry rate, then i suggest, that you should keep the breeding pair (or trio) on their own.
Please treat Corydoras as community inhabitants & not as scavengers. Stick out tongue

The fry rate doesn't depend a lot on their tank mates beacause she mouthbroods but if you want to keep them alone, its fair enough...

At first you are in control of your hobby but later on Fish Keeping will manilpulate you :s

    Re: peacocks

    hi there peacock lovers.

i have had a good number of sad stories and many more better ones with these beauties -

these have to be kept in a bit calmer aquarium - when we keep them with mbunas - like pseudotropheus it is not the aggression which hurts them but the hustle bustle - they just want it a bit calmer - so better avoid larger fish, and very active fish like most mbuna.

    i keep 3 species in 3 differnt set-ups - one with victorians(rock krib,igneopinnis,piceatus) and smaller haplos growing up(mylochromis melanotaenia)

one with victorians (pundamilia red head, smaller copadichromis, labidochromis pearlmutt)

and one with predators and larger plachidochromis, but in this case it is a 700 litre aquarium - so they have their own spaces when they need them.

generally, if you see no breeding activity and parading of colors/domination by hte male, it is a good sign that the fish cannot show its best !

    hi guys,

the photos of the tanks as a whole are not great, but of the fish -

aulo. stuartgranti usisya, two males bron in my tanks, from wildcaught couple, and grown to adulthood :

the wildcaught died after 2 months - very delicate/tubercolosis or parasites/but had bred them before that. now i have 2 males and 8 females (bought some other females from other sourse to mix the blood) and am breeding them regularly.
