    New planted discus tank

Hello to every,I finally managed to set up my new planted tank. After doing some research and also getting feedback from this site (for which I am grateful to the members who helped),my aquarium set up is ready.

I am planning to keep discus in this tank, therefore I planted medium to low-light plants which should be fine in a high temperature between 29 and 30 degrees.I will keep you updated. Any comments are more than welcome.

In the meantime, here are some pictures of my tank.

Very nice setup raptor. Although I never kept Discus, they are one of my favourite fish. I like their shape and slow swimming manner. They're majestic.

What plants have you used for the foreground raptor? I really like the setup, with the bogwood on those petrified wood....

    Keep it up man.

Well Done Raptor..... you've made a very beautiful tank & those plants are really nice, with that background.

Please treat Corydoras as community inhabitants & not as scavengers. Stick out tongue

Very nice setup. The colours of the chosen Discus do compliment well with the surrounding greenery. Keep it up raptor!

Thanks jtheuma discus strains are all nice but I tried to find a colour that compliments with the background and the plants so I went for red or orange and white. I have 3 Marlboro red, 2 Pigeon Blood Red and 2 Pigeon blood Silver.  Fish are doing well and they are really friendly. A breading pair has formed up and spawned but they are still young and they ate the eggs. I will post some pics of the event.
