Why are you keeping them in shallow water Ivan?

Well done friend. I do not see alot of surface turbulence. Is it something on purpose ?? Keep up the good work.

    Re: Fancy goldfish photos.

Thanks friends, Ranchu should be kept in shallow water, shallow water helps to improve headgrowth due to less pressure in the water depht. Ranchu's headgrowth is very important to start develope at a very early stage, not like the Oranda which their headgrowth can be easely developed at later stages.

But also in the video above, due to lack of time because I am always busy, the video was done during a water change so the water was shallower at that time, as you can notice from the sponge filters.

As regards turbulance, this type of fish does much better if no currents in the water are present, Japanese Ranchu breeders keep their fish in shallow water, no filtration, just an airstone and water changes.

    Some more new born babies.

Please count them for me and I will show you the rest of the tank to make them + and = answer.

    Ranchu lover.

Oh well explained my friend, I never thought about that. So you keep the depth of water at about 15cm? Are those Ranchu fry too? A lot of mouths to feed there! What's their first food Ivan?
