    Re: Aquariafair 2009

I must say i really enjoyed the show, I could see that so much work had been done to prepare such a show.  It was such a joy to see Natalia's discus swimming around so freely and not shy at all. so muc not shy that they even bred as well.:) Also the discus by one of the LFS were really beautiful. I mentioned those because for me they are the King of fish, and i must truely say if the discus is the king , Natalia must surely be the queen. She is always ready to give advice and it is not the first time that i sent her sms because of some disaster or other in my small discus tank. The lastes being my ph falling to 4.3 .

Anyway once again congratulations . It was also great to see some fish and snails which i had never seen before. Unfortunately i could not attend, the lectures. Nor could i attend on sunday as i would have loved to buy some plants. I also want to take the opportunity to wish if i remember correctly his name Ian a speedy recovery and hope his hand heals fast.

ps Johnf, not only committee members attended the show <:))))))))))))

Yes Cikkus, I agree with you regarding Natalia's discus and the LFS discus as well. This is what joins us together fish hobbyists seeing all those lovely fish on display. Well done again and keep on the good work.

I agree with Cikkus & Martin about their views on Natalia's Discus, but I must say that it's a pity that she stopped writing & helping others on this forum. Tongue Tied

Please treat Corydoras as community inhabitants & not as scavengers. Stick out tongue

Now that the fair is over, I would like to take the opportunity and thank all the Malta Aquarist society members that attended during the fair it was a pleasure to meet with many of you that came and introduced themselves. I would also like to thank MAS for the support shown and positive comments we received. This year we managed to raise 1583.63 euros which we donated to Inspire Foundation thanks to everyone for their contributions and we look forward to seeing all of you again next year.
    Regards
    Trevor.

i am glad that u managed to raise such a good sum of money and i am sure it will go to a good use. I would have like to come on Sunday and buy some plants or fish, but i couldnt. Can you please inform us how this sale was done, in the sense that could people have bought the fish on previous days and then took them on Sunday?

    Re: Aquariafair 2009

Hi Cikkus sorry to hear you could not join us on Sunday, the system we used was that people booked their items on any day of the fair and we asked them to pick them up on Sunday after 7:30pm. The idea of the sale was that to help clear the setups quickly apart from raising the funds, the system worked very well and we managed to remove all the live stock by 10:30pm most of it was sold while the rest was taken to the appropriate holding section. This helped us to clear the tanks quickly and started dismounting in fact by 2:00am on Sunday we already had all the tanks and stands removed and taken to our store. By 3:00pm on Monday we had the hall cleared and the team of Razzett started setting up the hall for another event which was scheduled for 8:30am on Tuesday.
    Regards
    Trevor.

    hi Trevor

Thanks for the information. Well i did not know you could order the fish plants etc from before. There were some snails i really liked as i had never seen like them. I thought you had to come on Sunday after the show closed . Well maybe for next year, Wow you must have worked pretty hard to have removed all the tanks and removed evereything by 2am. because it takes time to even remove the water.

     THanks for the info

I was going along the comments again on the AM Fair and enjoyed once again reading the nice comments from both sides. And this brought me to remember the guy who had the small accident. I am enquiring to see how he is. Hope everything is well for him after that ordeal.

I spoke with the unfortunate guy last week. His name is Ian and he says his hand is recovering at the pace which was expected.
