    Maybe the time has arrived....

As some of you may have heard, we came with an agreement with the authorities at Mount Carmel Hospital, to hire two rooms to use as a club and also storage area for the show's aquaria and stands.

So the next meeting 25th October, will take place at Mount Carmel ( at the back of the hall where the show was held). We're not having the usual meeting but to see the place, what are our plans, give your ideas and see how we can work it out. We will surely need some helping hands such as carpenters, electricians, plumbers etc...

I think that all of us want to have a decent place where to meet and we're trying to achieve this by the end of the year, so we have to do things a bit faster. So those interested can meet us at Mount Carmel at 9 am, so that we can sort things out. Hope to see a good number of you, because your ideas will help us for sure.

Yes Giann you are absolutely right. I am sure that the members will get use to the new premises at Mount Carmel in no time. One day or another we had to move from St.Venera as the rent burden was to heavy for us. See you all at Mount Carmel this Sunday.

Yesterday we had our first meeting @ Mt.Carmel Hospital & the place looks quite good for us. We have to decorate it to our likings & also move most of the stuff we have at the present club. Help will be needed & we appreciate any help from our club members.

After yesterday's "post" Annual Show talk, we had some finger food & we had an interesting chat on what to do & don't ...... So if anybody can help in a way or another, please contact any committee member or leave a message here & we'll contact you. Thanks alot in advance. Stick out tongue

As many of you might know, during the last meeting we decided to have the aquaria stored in the other room. During yesterday's committee meeting we are planned that next Monday 9th November we'll go at the new club @ 4pm to store the show aquaria in the other room. So those that can come give us a helping hand, are more then welcome. We're planning to have our new club ready by the end of this year, so all of us have to do some effort.

Those that do not have transport can talk to someone from the committee maybe we can pick them up on our way. See you guys.

I am looking forward to seeing the new place set up. i hope that we can make the place nicer and tidier than the sta venera place. Ofcourse it is the people who make the club, but the place helps. It will be a bit far away for me i must admit, but at least parking will not be a problem. If i can help in any other way than carrying please let me know

Well Frank you are right as always, but never taught that you have a 3 hour drive to the new club.Wink As for the standard of the club we can make it as plash as we want once all of us give their support and workmanship .It all depends on the members what standard we will finish. If we work hand in hand we will have a very high standard as now we have a very nice place architecturally  and space wise all we have to do is give our share so that we will have what we deserve. Keep it in mind that with what we had we survived for the last 40 years. Thanks Frank and I am sure that you will give your support.

Something new for our club is that at our new club premises, we were offered 4 other small rooms where we can store the show's aquaria and stands, while having a small workshop were we can do any maintenance on these.

Today we met at 4 to begin moving the aquaria to these rooms, after cleaning the four of them. Thanks to Charles and those involved we have more space were to put our things. Only 6 of us turned out today, committee members. We couldn't do much obviously.

Tomorrow we're meeting again at 4pm so those that can spare a few hours can come give us a hand.

    Some updates:

Latest updates are that that the Tropical food is already at Attard, while we're adding lighting and power outlets to have enough around the premises.

Tomorrow, Thursday 3rd December @ 4.30 we're going to move the planted tank and other material to our new club in Attard. It will be tough to do the job but if we're enough people it will be easier  and take less time. Hope to see you there.

For the coming weekend the planted tank will be displayed in a fair organised at Mount Carmel Hospital premises as we were invited to participate.

Then next Saturday, two members offered their vans to continue transferring material from St.Venera to Attard. Those who can help can leave their names here or contact one of the committee members.
