I know you kurt and I saw you on  Sunday at the show if I'm not mistaken.I think you're right about the fish cause this year there were more species than last year.  And the place at Attard was much better for parking than at Sliema even the hall was more spacious.

Hi all, A word of praise for all the participants and those who worked really hard to make it happen. At first I tought, Why Mt Carmel...from all places why there... but last Sunday I visited the show and I realised why. The hall is spectacular and the entrance was superb... I really enjoyed the show and bought 2 green severum...it is the first time with these fish let say I will be learning about them as times go by. Although small at this stage they look very interesting fish.

Did you talk to me mate ? If no you should have spoken to me ey... Sorry but i don't know who you are because you don't have a photo name or anything on your profile...

You could send me a pm or an e-mail on: kurteknikk@yahoo.com and we could talk there if you want mate...

Apart from that i agree 100% with the parking thing because it was much better to park, a more central place and everything. Last year's show was fabolous but i think that the committee is doing a great job because this year's was even better Yes Well done friends... Beer

As part of the committee I would like to thank all those who visited this year's show and I can say that I liked the set up very much, thanks to Charles and other committee members who took certain decisions because I was very busy.

Our members benched their nicest fish to make a great show. Keep it up guys, maybe next year we'll see new faces as we saw this year. Hopefully I'll be in too...

Would like to thank all sponsors who advertised with us, sponsored lottery gifts, lent us aquaria for showing the big fish and Mt.Carmel staff as they were very helpful indeed.

Those who want to leave any comments can do so underneath....

    Re: Show 2009

Today at last all the aquariums are out of the hall, so now I can do some work on my computer. The first and foremost I would like to thank the following people who worked hard so that we do our annual show held since 1970.

My first obligation is to Mr. Edward Borg Chief Executive Officer of Mount Carmel Hospital who helped us a lot in doing such show. I assure you all that with out his intervention the show wouldn’t be so much successful. Second in line is Mr. Alexei Sammut who is member of the sports and social club of Mount Carmel Hospital employees, not mentioning their president Mr.Alex Caruana who supported us from day one. We made a lot of friends during our stay in Mount Carmel Hospital and for sure now we came friends for life, big thanks go to the electrical people, the security team, all the nurses and patients who used to come and see what we where doing. Last and not least the team of cleaners who gave us a silver service regards cleaning. Mr.Falzon and Lawrence gave their utmost so that all goes well.

Now let us talk a bit on our show. This year we decided that we use the tables supplied buy the hospital so that we do it on one level, so that any wheel chair bound will appreciate our show, yes it was too low and we decided to higher it a bit next year .this involves that we do our own tables, don’t worry we have material and we are going to begin the manufacturing such stand in the very next future. This year we had a very good number of members exhibiting their fish and I would like to thank them all for doing so, keeping in mind that we had a good number of fresh blood competing with the masters. But there is always the first time and we are after such people, so that the future of such shows will continue. I would like to point out that, this year we saw the revival of the community tanks. But sorry to say that the Molly section was empty, but the cichlids section was 100% the most entered section. Well friend I am sure that all those people that came to see our show where happy and satisfied with what we, I mean you all benched for their appraisal.

Now let us thank all those who gave more than others so that this show will be done with the least financial burden .First of all I would like to thank all the pet shops and suppliers for their sponsorship. The judges for doing their work profesinoaly, and special thanks goes to John Farrugia and Trevor who represented the Aquariummalta, being present for the official opening. I think that special thanks will go to Tarkus who sponsored all the trophies that are going to be given to the participants. (All sponsors are on the poster and the special magazine we did for the show)

Special thanks go to all the committee and helpers for doing their best to have such success. Keeping in mind that we had over five thousand visitors. This means that next year we will be benching our show in the same hall but with some adjustment.

I would like to congratulate all the winners.

Hope that I did not leave anybody out, if so, sorry for doing so.

There are no words for me left to say after Charles's write up on this year's show. I agree 100% with him. I am now starting to get a bit organized after the show in my fish room. Now we must start and begin preparing for 2010 show. No it is not early !!!!!! Hope that every one who visited the show was satisfied. The committee of the MAS promises that will do their utmost that 2010 show will be better and bigger for all of you to enjoy.

It is good to hear that you had another successful show in Malta!

I am only sorry that I was not able to be there this year to join all of my friends in Malta.  Perhaps next year!

    Best wishes to you all.
