Welcome back Kurt. Hope that you and all your fish are fine. Yes the poster is quite original. Yes the fish in the poster are all in black but one can see all the colours of the fish if he/she comes to Mount Carmel and see the fish exhibited. See you all there.

And by the way, a big thanks also goes to all the sponsors shown on the poster. These are the people that give a helping hand to our Society and are always there when we knock on their doors asking for sponsors or assistance.

    Re: Show 2009

I'm fine martin, actually i've been very busy lately and now i've dedicated some special time for my fish and fishroom. I had some things going on and currently i was trying to breed the amano shrimps but i lost the fry when i was abroad. Also i'm trying a small local marine tank and i'm very interested in some chiclid community tank soon. Either tanganyika or malawi not so sure yet.

Anyway i hope to see most of you at the show friends, because i'm afraid that i won't be able to come regularly :-/

No problem Kurt. Just keep us updated on your projects and good luck on your marine set up..... it is challenging.

Allow me to be the first to comment on this year's show.

First of all I want to thank all Committee members for the warm hospitality on judging day.  When one considers the current economic situation, one might forecast that participants would be on the decrease.  Yet to my surprise, the exhibitors and fish standard has once again shot up.  This was the first time to visit Mt. Carmel Hospital and one can easily say that the exhibition hall is one of a kind; and parking is not a problem!

I encourage all members, fishkeepers and whoever wishes to spend some enjoyable time with the family to visit this interesting event.  It's well worth your time.

Congratulations to all winners and participants.

The show event consumes a lot of my time and during such event I rarely see the forum, but I couldn’t see your statement and not reply. I would like to thank you for the time you gave us for involving you with our judging ,once again you proved yourself how much you love our hobby, as you noticed I gave you a prospective judge to learn from you. Thanks friend and hope to meet a lot of fish hobbyist to see our show.

My first 2009 show comments are close to John f's, First of all i want to say a big thanks to all the committe who trusted me and gave me the opportiunity to judge in this year's fish show, it was my first expirience as a judge and as C Grima said i was consulting all the time with John f about final results who was really helpfull and i want to say big thanks to him as well, the judging day was the first time that i met John and i have to say that it was great to work with such an experienced and a very nice guy.

The hall at Mt carmel hospital is great and i'm glad that our show this year is at a very nice display, as said above it is great as a family outing and their is no problems neither for parking or to find the hall you will find it on your left if you enter the main entrance.

Congradulations goes to the winners and all the participants.

    Ranchu lover.

    Re: Show 2009

It was my fourth consecutive year that I came for the opening of the Show. First of all I have to give my congratulations to all those who prepared this year's show. I am sure that the first thanks must go to you Charles. I am sure that this year's show will be a success too. The Place is perfect, it is not a hospital but it is a five star hotel, very clean and well organized. The set up for the aquariums is PERFECT even it is the first experience in Mount Carmel 's Hall.

Thanks to all. Keep it up!!!

    Party!!!

    Re: Show 2009

     Hi friends...

I visited the show yesterday and i must say that i really liked the entrance... because it gave a really good impression when seeing fish that took quite a long time to grow to such size.

Also i really liked the variety of fish there were. This is my second time visiting the show but i think that there was a much better variety than last year. Correct me if i'm wrong guys... because i might see the difference since last time i was seeing a lot of fish like they were the same and maybe this year i'm appreciating the difference more...

Anyway i got really inspired from those community tanks infact i'll be arranging my setups and taking more care of plants when i'll move the tanks in my new fishroom...

Thats all for now friends... well done and keep it up everyone... maybe i'll come and visit you again because i really enjoyed it ;)

Sorry but i don't know you mate, please to meet you Wink

As i already said maybe its because last year we didn't know much about fish (at least i knew almost nothing) and this year we're more familiar which fish species etc... and therefore can appreciate more the variety of fish that there are on display...
