F1 generation...due for F2 breeding programme...

    F1 generation...due for F2 breeding programme...

    Here is a result of a spawn to excel the HM gene...still way to go as this is a considered a SD...this was a result of a cross between a copper red HM female and an MG male (SD) which belonged to my friend...

    Here is a better shot of the tail in full flare..

    Very nice fish did you import them yourself the breeding stock? Will you be having any for sale ?

     This is from the 3 month old fry from the breeding stock which we are trying to grow for further improvement.

     This male, which has grown a longer anal fin from the one in the picture. I managed to breed him once with a good spawn but has eaten the eggs. Today in actual fact is with a HM blue metallic female and released with him. I am not going to repeat the same mistake. I will remove him once eggs have been laid in the bubblenest. The reason is that although the chances of survival for the fry is reduced, it is better to lose some than all of them.
