    Re: Some great looking Angels

    hello can anyone help me,

i found some angel fish eggs last sunday attached to the filter and i was thinking that the eggs were infertile because the only two angelfish i had kept on casing each other. To my surprise this morning i noticed that the eggs were moving and so i have got a pair but still the female keeps on bullying the male. Honestly i don not know what to do.

Secondly what should i feed to these little babies, are microworms ok?

Great News !!!!! First of all I would like to know if you have any other fish in the same tank?. If yes, then the chance of survival is quite "slim", as they finish off as food for the others.  If you can, move the filter to another tank or else leave everything as it is & within a few days, move the pair to another tank on their own. Don't worry, they'll breed again very soon. Big Smile

Microworms are quite good to fry & you have to start feeding them as soon as you'll see them free swimming. Don't feed them before, as it will pollute the water. After a few days, try feeding them Live Brineshrimp & don't forget to make some "small" daily water changes.

If you need any other help, just post here & we'll help you. Stick out tongue

    Thanks Corydoras seracin,

i will keep the parents in place because the parents are not fighting anymore.I am changing 20% of the water everyday and added some funguicide because i started seeing some fungus around some eggs.

    Thanks again

I don't know if the anti fungal drops are good for the fish....... but I never added any, if I'm keeping the parents with their eggs & eventually fry. Usually the parents will remove any fungused eggs, while they'll protect the rest.

I add anti fungal drops, when I remove the object that the eggs are laid on & place it in another tank. I also do a "big" water change, as soon as they'll hatch, so I'll remove the diluted water, as much as possible.

What type of filtration are you using?. I recommend you a sponge filter, as it doesn't "suck" any fry.

yes seracin is 100% right. I had a couple of angels laying eggs on the filter pipe and at the same time a big Uaru Cichlid eating them as soon as they are laid.

I moved the fry to another aquarium with a sponge filter which i cycled in the main tank for two days. Hope they will survive. I am hatching BBS as well so that when they start swiming, which will be in a matter of hours, they will find food. Does anyone know how long do BBS remain nutritous enough for the fry?:

During the first 24hrs they are the most nutritious, but I feed the rest even after this time.

I use two hatcheries and have a fresh supply everyday.
