Re: What fish have you bred??

Hi cikk, a thing  about the number of these goodied brood is so much small couse the mother fish has to feed the young ones which she's prengnant with by her own body! imagine she had 150 to 250 fry like common livebearers! she'll probably shrinks with exaustion! and giving that the fry are 3mm to 5mm and the mother is about 6cm, well how many could she hold more in herself!!Indifferent

Goodeid females get pregnant only with the contact of a male, as their body want store packets of sperm like poeciliidea do due to lack of males.

The keyholes laid eggs on a piece of flat stone in a community tank mostly with tertas. They are still young and this is the first time they laid eggs. Eventually they ate the eggs a few moments after they laid them. Well it is my first experience as well with cichlids. I have seen lately some kind of action near the same piece of stone and therefore maybe they are again preparing to spawn.

     hi kris

well if you want fries of goodeid you only have to ask. I have had some young ones and  hopefully the female is pregnant again. ALso Bertrand has had fry a couple of times and i am sure he would give you some. Well i know you sold off a couple of tanks, so what are you keeping at the moment.
