     hi there Louis

I just saw your photos, a bit late, but better late than never. Well marine is really beautiful. I must admit i have never kept a marine tank, but it is one of my future hobbies. I know that it requires a lot of preparation and a lot of reading as well. Hopefully one day I will have at least a small tank. How big are your tanks? As regards the cichlids tanks, well these fish are really great as they are low maintenance.

    Cikkus:

     Hi ivan

Great fish, keep it up, you are becoming the expert now in these fish. I was given some by  Betrand, but i guess they were happier at his home and were growing bigger at his house than at mine. They seem to have stopped growing though they are in good health and eat a lot. But i think the reason is that they are cramped where they are , as they are in a small tank.  I hope that maybe you can give me some tips to make them start growing again

     Frank

Hello Frank, thanks for the compliment but I am far from expert, I just try to do the best for my Ranchu to hopefuly get good results.

Frank as regards your fish given by Bertrand I suggest you to put them in bigger tank and if possible in multiple tanks if you wish to grow them into decent size, If I am not mistaken you have around 40 Goldfish. also they require a constant food supply but not more than they can consume in 10 minutes, In this way you can give them up to 10 feedings per day, of course this requires constant water changes, let say half the volume every 2 days. I know that this sounds drastic but I am sure that in this way you will see the difference in a short of time.

Filter's cleaning  are also a must in Goldfish tanks, you have to get rid of any dirt in the Goldfish tank's system to keep Goldfish healty and growing. Due to all this I used to introduce the (water change new dechlorinated water) to the tank from an air line and I leave it to top up very slowly from the air line by gravity, to avoid any damage for the beneficial  filter bacteria.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards.

    Ranchu lover.

I was impressed with the Discus form fish above, I have no idea what they are called but they are impressive in my opinion!!!

They were at a size of around 40 cm and incredibly close look like Discus, There face and roundness is exactly like the fresh water Discus, of course they are marine, anyone knows what these magnificent creatures are called?

    Regards

Wowww thanks for sharing Ivan. You frightened me as I thought it was one of your home aquariums at first with the shark and everything !!!!!! Well thanks again  for sharing this great experience with us. I was in Marseilles in France last week but there are no aquariums there, just dead fish for sale in the fish market !!!!!!! However I saw this huge fishmonger who had live lobsters and live giant crabs for sale.  I will also post some photo shortly.
