    Fundulopanchax Gardnieri

Hello all , recently Charlon gave me some killie eggs today I noticed one of them was wriggling , should I add some green water (infusoria) or start with the microworm ?

    Hi T3ddy,

It's nice to hear some of them are already hatching .. heat has speeded up development, hence reducing the incubation period.

You can start with microworm .. gardneri are big enough to take it (green water would be too small for this sp.). Just start to think of upgrading the container to about one litre per fry now. Not too small cause of overcrowding .. not too big for the fry to find their food.

    Congrats and well done.

Hi t3ddy, welcome to killie keeping! have you left the eggs with the mop or gave it a try at removing them to another container? As Charlon told you microworms and banana worms are best for free swimming fry.

Don't worry if you killed the microworms, I've got a culture going & you can come for some. Smile

What are you feeding them? put some java moss with them so that they will find shelter in it and will not stay near the filter. What filter are you using? I would pefer a sponge filter for small fry.
