Do you have other fish in the tank, together with the BN pair?.

Martin, try to remove some of the snails by hand & leave the rest for the Assassins.
Frank, they eat "pest" snails & keep on eating them till there are no more.......... when the "pests" are gone, they'll eat normal meaty fish foods.

I keep these snails & I never saw them eating any plants.

I think that you still have to put a "lid" on your tank. I don't know if they'll "jump" out or not, but better be safe.

I had alot of Emperor Tetra, but during the past year most of them passed away & now, most of the Tetras I have are the Rummynose.
Martin, can the high temperature be the cause of the deaths?. Rummy's do well in temperature of about 30 deg.cel but most Tetras need cooler water. On the other hand, most fishkeepers keep the Discus at high ...
