The  Malta Aquarist Society 40th Anniversary

For the 40th anniversary the Malta Aquarist Society decided that the members will design the logo for this. This will be used in next year's newsletter and also other souvenirs we'll be doing. The winner of this logo competition will have these souvenirs for free

Here you can find the rules for this competition and also a basic example done by Charles Grima of what is needed. The logos will be posted here later on. So if you have any questions and/or comments use the other thread ' Forum competitions'.

Rules for Logo Competition

1.   The Emblem of the Malta Aquarist Society may be downloaded from the following link: http://www.maltaaquarist.com/Images/Background-Logos-Headers/MASLogo.png

2. All logos, queries or other must be sent to webmaster@maltaaquarist.com. This is the official email that will be used for the Competition.

3. All Entries will be put onto the Malta Aquarist Society Forum to be reviewed.

4.  Entries must be in a high resolution image (lowest resolution must be of 1024X768pixels) and may be supplied in any standard imaging format.

5.  All participants must submit a hard copy (A4 Size) of their work.  The winner must present an editable soft copy (on CD/Pen drive) of his/her work.

6.  The non-participating committee members of the Malta Aquarist Society will judge this competition.

7.  This competition is open solely to members of the Malta Aquarist Society.

8.  Each participant may provide up to 3 separate entries in the competition.

9.  There must be a clear indication of the 40 years anniversary and 1970 – 2010.

10.  The winning entry will be used in the Ilma Ċar newsletter and any other promotion or events that may seem fit for the committee of the Malta Aquarist Society.

11.  This Competition will be open from 1^st June till the 30^th June 2009.

12.  The Malta Aquarist Society will take ownership of all entries and may use them at their own discretion, once the competition is complete.

 Yes this is a nice opportunity for every one to try. The winning logo will be used throughout the year on every Club activity. It is a chance to be creative and original. Any questions or other enquiries please post and we will do our best to reply.

 We have some nice logos here! Thanks to all participants who participated for this competition. I know you had to spend some time creating your logos.

In my opinion would have expected some more members participating, but all in all the logos entered are of good standard!

   In my opinion if there was kind of prize maybe the participation would have been bigger.  Don't get me wrong guys , but a small gift like a book (fish related of course) would have been appreciated.   Even a small voucher from an LFS I am sure they would have given you one.   These kind of things take time to do if you want to do them properly like the others did from what I can see.  

     Anyway I participated and like Gianni said all the logos look great so it will hard for the judges , may the best one 'win'.

 

 I agree with you Teddy, that's what I had in mind but when discussed during the committee meeting it didn't pass the voting. bad luck!

 Well done to everyone who made these beautiful logos. Quite impressed with the quality .. definately hard to choose !!
